Syawal is now nearing its ends. I know it's a bit late, but I totally forgot to blog about all the Raya cards that I received from blogger frens. So, today, I'm gonna blog about it (before I forget again, hehe..)


If you've read this post --> here <--, you might know that I've joined a Raya card exchange activity, which is organised by Deqlis. Via that activity, I'll be getting 8 cards from those who joined too.


Unfortunately, I only received 7 Raya cards. I guess the other one card get lost on the way to my house, huhu~.. "-_- Nevermind, seven is more than nothing, hehe..

We both got duit raya~!!

Salam n hye everyone~!!

How is your Eid celebration? Hope no one has lost a finger due to playing fireworks...hihi~... But I'm sure most people have gained 1 kg or more during this festive season.. (coz I have!!! >_<)

How much duit raya did you get? Hannah's is now RM150++. A bit lower than the money she got from last year's Eid, but not to worry, there are still more houses to visit. Besides, in Malaysia, we celebrate Eid for one whole month!! ^_^

Like last year, I also got duit raya, hihi~... This is the best part of being a young mother who is still a uni student. ^_^ Although what I got is not as much as Hannah's duit raya, but I'm still grateful that some of my aunts & uncles still give me duit raya.

There's not much pics snapped this Eid. That's bcoz my family's camera is faulty!! (Yeah, of all times, why on Eid???) So these are juz a few of pics for you to see..

I'd also like to say THANKS to all those who wished me on my b'day last Thursday. Although everyone must be busy wif Eid, my frens still took time to wish me, thanks again! I received a lot of b'day wishes on Facebook, in this blog & via SMS as well.

Even my BFF - the super busy Cia a.k.a Shea Syahirah didn't forget my b'day~!! That's what frens are for, right? Hihi~... ^_^

Hepi Raye Day 2011~!!!! ^_^

Today is the 1st day of Eid. Of course, this is a scheduled entry, hehe.. I don't know if anyone will be blogging today, right?

I'd juz like to wish everyone Selamat Hari Raya AidilFitri and Eid Mubarak. Hope all of you will celebrate this special day with happiness and joy. Don't forget to seek forgiveness from our family, relatives and frens.

I'd like to apologise if I've done any wrong since I've started blogging. And I forgive you all the same. >_<

Ok then, I dunno when I'll be online again. Can't wait to meet you bloggers & readers in this blogosphere. ^_^

Baking Raya cookies & weaving ketupats~...

Salam n hye everyone~!!

I'm sure many bloggers are now in their hometown. Me? I'll be celebrating Eid at KL. Yup, KL is my hometown, hehe.. So there's really no rush for me to balik kampung. ^_^

This is actually a scheduled entry. Yup, I don't think I'll be having time to be blogging today, hehe.. So while you're reading this, I'll be busy making preparations for Eid. Like the years before, I've baked Raya cookies. But the difference is, most of them are made by me alone, hihi~...

Currently I've baked these yummy Raya cookies. Want the recipes? Juz ask me. >_<

* London Almond cookies
* Tat nenas (pineapple tart cookies)
* Crushed Cornflakes cookies
* Famous Amos-style choc chip cookies (I'm serious!!)
* Brown sugar cookies (ok, this one is baked by Ummi)
* Choc rice bubble cookies

There'll maybe another type of cookies to be baked tonight. I'll probably bake choc layer cookies if I have time. Seriously, I made that name up. I don't really know what's it called... "^_^ But you can see what it looks like below..

Only 2 cookies are bought. Pineapple cheese tart cookies & coconut cookies. Why? Coz my family & I are sick of buying Raya cookies that don't taste so good. It's better to bake them yourselves, right?

And about weaving ketupats, this year will be the only time I won't be weaving any. (Yes, it's true, I can weave ketupats.. >_<) Ummi has already bought weaved ketupat cases. So I'll be having more time to bake Raya cookies & tidy up the house.

Went Raya shopping & saw Iqram Dinzly~!!

Salam n hye everyone~!!

For those who are living in Shah Alam & KL, this is the suitable time to go Raya shopping. Even for celebrities, hehe...

My family & I went to Masjid India to do some last minute shopping. Ayep was the only one who hasn't got a baju melayu & a sampin yet. Although it was 2 days before Eid, there were still a lot of people shopping there. Not to mention the crowd!!

In the hustle and bustle of shopping, my little bro Aslam said he spotted a celebrity. Guess who it was? Iqram Dinzly la~!!

This is the 2nd time we saw Iqram Dinzly when going out as a family. The 1st time was back in January when we were eating at a restaurant. (Click here to read it)

 He was also shopping for baju melayu with a few of his friends (I don't know them, hehe..) I guess he only had time to go shopping in the few days before Eid. Must be really busy to a celebrity. Well, at least Iqram Dinzly had time to go shopping, coz Raya wouldn't be complete without a baju melayu or baju kurung, hihi~...

Ok then, I gotta go. Maybe we'll be doing some more shopping today, but not in KL. I still need a pair of shoes, huhu~....

Raya card exchange~!!

Salam n hye everyone~!!

Since I left school, I never received or sent any raya cards. I dunno why, maybe the spirit of sending raya cards was such a huge trend back in school.

When Deqlis came up with an activity of exchanging raya cards between bloggers (click here), I quickly agreed to join. In the meantime, I could also send raya cards to my frens from primary & secondary school.

I have posted all 19 raya cards today. Hihi~.... Here's some of the raya cards that I've sent. (I didn't have time to snap the pics of all the cards)

By joining Deqlis's exchange activity, I'll be receiving 8 raya cards, hehe.. I've already received 2 of them, one from Deqlis & the other from Zahidah. I'll make an entry when I've received all the raya cards from the exchange.

Btw, for the lucky draw winners, I've also posted your prizes. They'll arrive at your doorstep next week the latest. ^_^

Raya 2010 Update~!! ^_^

Phew, currently I've been busy wif the Raya holidays, assignments (plus problems as well!), n only now have I the chance & time to update my blog. Yes, I know, Syawal is nearing its end, but I still wanna tell u about my Eid celebrations this year.

 

My big family

 
1st day of Eid:
--My parents, siblings (all 5 of them), baby Hannah & I celebrated the 1st day at my Pak Long's (my uncle) house in Kuala Lumpur. All of my relatives of my mom's side came here as well, since my grandma's house has been pulled down (to be replaced with my Pak Uteh's soon-to-be new house). Hannah received many duit raya (money given to children from adults & relatives who are working), and astonishingly, I got duit raya too~!! (Maybe coz I'm still studying, hihi..) ^_^

--That night, all of my relatives came to my family's house in Shah Alam. An uncle bought RM1000+ worth of fireworks, including those huge ones that u usually see during Merdeka celebrations n so on. We had quite a nice night! >_<

 2nd & 3rd day of Eid:
--We went to various relatives' houses, eating loads of food + putting on weight! Hihi.. >_^



Fireworks night


4th day of Eid:
--My family & I went back to my dad's hometown in Johor. It's been quite a while since we last went there. (There's even some of my cousins who I've forgotten their faces n names!! "-_-) We arrived back home the same night.

8th & 9th day of Eid:
--Hubby, Hannah & I went to KLCC to spend time together, then we got on the night bus to my hubby's hometown in Kelantan. Although I've planned earlier not to go to Kelantan this year since we've celebrated Eid 2 years in a row there previously, but Hubby missed his hometown so much, so eventually, I had to give in.

So...that's about it then! More pictures of my Eid celebrations will be posted in my Facebook account. Now, I'd better get back to doing my assignments. "-_-
