Compliments for me~!!
Salam n hye everyone~!!
Yesterday during Language & Gender class, my classmates & I were learning about compliments in language & whether females or males give the most compliments.
The lecturer then told us to write a compliment about one person in the class. We had to write down the person's name & the compliments on a piece of paper, w/out revealing our identity.
I only knew one person in the class, who is my English coursemate. The others were from different language courses. So of course I wrote a compliment about that fren of mine. I wrote that she always finishes her homework early.. "^_^
When everyone has written their compliments, the lecturer collected them all & began to read them out loud. Surprisingly, I got 2 compliments!!
Both are praises about the accessories that I wore yesterday: a ring that my sis Ijah bought for me when she went on a school trip to Surabaya 2 weeks ago; and a kitty brooch that I bought at FESKUM last week.
I never knew that people would notice what I wear (but now I do know..hehe..) The lecturer joked that I should wear more attractive clothes & accessories for the next class. Haha!!
I juz wear what I wanna wear.. Plus, I don't really have a style. I'm a simplegirl woman.. Hihi~.. Anyway, thanks to those 2 people who complimented about me!! >_<

Shopping @ FESKUM 2011
Salam n hye everyone~!!
This week (1 Oct - 8 Oct 2011) a big event is held in UM. It's FESKUM 2011 (UM Convocation Festival).
Like the previous years, there loads of stalls that sell all sorts of things, from shawls to brooches, from flowers to teddy bears, from burgers to roast chicken, and even clothes of different designs. And like always, I really like to browse through the stalls..and shop, of course!
Wanna know what I bought from FESKUM this year? Take a look below.
This flowery handbag is such a steal!! I bought it for only RM10. The design inside is lovely as well.
Here's a pic of me showing you the size of the handbag. I don't really mind buying cheap handbags as this one,as long as it looks pretty to me, hihi~...
I also bought some handmade brooches. RM5 for 5 brooches, hehe.. ^_^ I like shopping at FESKUM.

Met a blogger yesterday~!!!! ^_^
Salam n hye everyone~!!
Hihi~.. Yeah, I met a blogger yesterday. Wanna know who? Surprise, surprise!!
The lucky blogger that I met is aten qylah. ^_^ I actually went to meet her coz she's one of the winners of my September B'day GA. Since she's studying in UM too, so I thought I'd drop by her room & give her prize by hand.
We chatted only a little as I wanted to hurry back home (it was raining~.. "-_-) No, no pics were snapped. This is a pic of aten, which I took from her Facebook fanpage. (Sori, aten, that I took it w/out permission, huhu~..
From my 1st impression, I think aten is such a sweet girl. She's juz enrolled into UM, so she's a freshie. (While I'm a final year student, huhu~..)
Maybe I'll be able to meet wif her again some time, since we're studying in the same uni. Hehe... Nice meeting you, aten.. ^_^

NIEW Ladies Carnival @ UM
Salam n hye everyone~!!
Last Tuesday, there was a big event in UM. It was the NIEW Ladies Carnival. NIEW stands for NAM Institute for the Empowerment of Women. (OK, I googled that word juz now)
There were a lot of booths & activities going on at the carnival. But I could only spend an hour there as I had classes to attend to. Big names were attending the event, such as Dato' Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil, and even celebrities like Adam, Ana Raffali, Bienda & Najwa Latif. (But I couldn't meet them all, huhu~... "-_-)
There was this big poster hung up, where girls wrote some message & signed on it. It was to show our support for the empowerment of women.
I also joined as well. My message is at the very bottom. Here's a close-up of what I wrote, hihi~..
A carnival/event like this should be held more often in UM & other local universities. It helps in sending out the message of women's rights in Malaysia & worldwide. (There was a talk about how to prevent & curb baby-dumping)

Learning Nihongo (Japanese)~!!!
Salam n hye everyone~!!
A new sem has started. Today begins the 3rd week of the sem. And I'm in my final year, huhu~... I really hope that I can graduate by next year.
Anyway, for this sem, I have taken up a Japanese language class. Hait. Watashi wa Nisa-desu. Haha.. I'm still a beginner.
I've got tonnes of shukudai (homework) for Japanese class. I've got to practice writing the Hiragana characters. (all 48 characters, mind you!!)
There's still so much to do~...
And I've got to memorise all of them as well. It doesn't really matter much, coz I love Nihongo~!! ^_^ Plus, my sensei (Kaori-sensei) is super kawaii~... >_<

An exam, an assignment..and some prizes too~!!
Salam n hye everyone~!!
This entry is all about what happened yesterday & why I haven't been blogging much in the past few days. (As if anyone cared, haha!!)
During my 2nd sem in 2009, I gave birth to Hannah right in the middle of the exam period. Bcoz of that, I couldn't attend 3 exam papers. So, yesterday, I had to attend one of the exam papers, which is Morphology of the English Language.
My lecturer requested that I re-submit my assignment, so as to get better marks, maybe. My assignment was to write a review about an article on the teaching/learning of Morphology. Simple as it seems, it took me away from blogging for a few days, hehe..
After I fried my brains during the exam last afternoon, I was greeted with a bulging looking envelope back at home. Yay~!!! The prizes that I won from 2 of Kak Fieda's GAs has arrived! ^_^
The bear keychain has a really sweet smell! Hannah likes smelling the bear sometimes. And my youngest bro Aslam quickly bagged the turtle keychain for himself.
Thanks Kak Fieda for the lovely keychains. They were worth winning for, hihi~..

Out to UM, Mid Valley & SACC Convention Centre
Salam n hye everyone~!!!
Yesterday (28 June 2011), I went out to those 3 places as seen in the title post. Why? Well, let me tell you about it then.
I went to UM at around 9 am to meet my lecturer. I had something to discuss with her about an exam paper that I am supposed to take next month. Unfornately, she wasn't in. I waited until nearly 11 am, but there was still no sign of her.
Why didn't I phone her, you may ask? Well, my hp's broke. Hubby has promised that I'll be getting a new hp in a few more weeks' time. He's currently working outstation, in Terengganu for 2 weeks. Huhu~...
So, I then went to Mid Valley Megamall. I came there juz to redeem the tote bag from GNC Live Well. (Have you redeemed your goodie bag?)

I also bought a GNC Women's Ultra Mega supplement. It was on offer for 50% discount, exclusively for the first 5,000 fans of GNC's Facebook page.. So, there goes my hard-earned money... At least I bought something that will do good to my health, hehe..
The supplement is actually a dietary supplement. It has all sorts of vitamins, fibre, iron etc that we may have not taken in our consumption of food. (Yeah, I know, as a junk food lover, I should be having supplements like this)

Next, I went straight back to Shah Alam. Bought some stuff at the Giant supermarket in SACC Mall, then I went to the Selangor Book Fair held at SACC Conevention Centre.
I saw 2 famous Malaysian stars at the book fair!! Wanna know who they are? Stay tuned for the next post. ^_^

3 BIG events on 29 April 2011~!!!!!
1. Prince William & Kate's royal wedding
Yes, the Prince will wed his soon-to-be princess Kate Middleton on this lovely day. Don't worry, Malaysians, we have a live telecast of the royal wedding of the year on ntv7 & other channels too. So, remember to glue yourselves in front of the TV on this day, ok?
2. Maroon 5 live in Kuala Lumpur 2011
They're coming to do a live concert here in Malaysia, yay~... It will be held at Putra Stadium, Bukit Jalil. But..the ticket prices are ever so expensive! Well, if you're a die-hard fan of Maroon 5, don't forget their concert this Friday night!
3. My 2nd & 3rd exam papers
Yup, unfortunately for me, I have 2 exam papers on this eventful day. The 1st paper will be at 8.30am. While the 2nd paper will be at 3pm.
Poor me, I'll be missing the live telecast of the very much anticipated royal wedding, huhu~...

Lunchdate~!!
Last Wednesday (2 March 2011), I had a lunchdate wif my dear fren, Shida. Sori for not writing about it earlier, I had to wait for Shida to upload the pics we've taken on Facebook.
It's been a while since Shida & I have been together. We used to be coursemates, but she has graduated her degree. She is now pursuing her Masters at the same faculty, hihi~.. So, I guess we are now what you call as faculty mates (if there is such a word).
We decided to hangout for lunch at Mid Valley Megamall & to exchange stories between us. We ate lunch at Teppanyaki restaurant, as suggested by Shida. So we talked, ate, talked, ate and talked some more.
